Billing Policy

As an urgent care centre, we strive to provide affordable and accessible healthcare services to our patients. To ensure this, we have developed a bulk billing policy that outlines our commitment to bulk billing, eligibility criteria, and the services covered under bulk billing.

Bulk Billing Commitment:
Our urgent care centre is committed to bulk billing for all eligible patients who hold a valid Medicare card. This means that patients will not be charged any out-of-pocket expenses for their consultation or treatment.

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for bulk billing, patients must hold a valid Medicare card. If the patient does not have a Medicare card, they will be required to pay the full cost of the consultation.

Overseas Travellers
If you’re an international traveller with insurance coverage, we are here to assist you in obtaining the essential documentation required for your insurance claim.

Billing Process:
Patients who are eligible for bulk billing will be asked to present their Medicare card at the time of their consultation. Our urgent care centre will then directly bill Medicare for the cost of the consultation or treatment.

Services Covered:
Bulk billing covers the following services provided by our urgent care centre:

  • Consultation with a general practitioner or nurse practitioner
  • Minor surgical procedures, including wound repair and removal of foreign bodies

 

WorkCover
At the Minor Accident and Illness Centre, we understand the importance of timely care for WorkCover injuries. That’s why we offer a seamless experience with no out-of-pocket expenses. If you are eligible, your consultation with be covered by the WorkCover insurance system.
