Dr Sylvia Andrew-Starkey graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1984 and has been an Emergency Medicine specialist since.

Originally from Melbourne, Dr Sylvia worked as an ED specialist in Cairns before coming to Caboolture area. Dr Sylvia worked as the Director of Emergency at Caboolture Hospital from 1996 – 2007 and Acting Director of Emergency at RBWH from 2007-2009. Dr Slyvia’s major interests include paediatrics, mental health; pre-hospital medicine and teaching.

Dr Slyvia came to the Hub because she wanted to be able to deliver good patient services to the community, alternative models of care to patients and keep people out of hospital as much as possible.
